Mammoth Hot Springs has been described as
“a mountain turning itself inside-out”.  This area shows many features typically found in caves, such as stalactites and flowstone.

It would be easy to spend a lot of time at Mammoth Hot Springs. Geysers are more spectacular, but the results of the huge flowing  hot springs are a wondrous sight as well.

Perhaps a hot spring or geyser that no longer flows.
